Is the Bomb Pop set to retire alongside other popular US national team kits like the 1994 denim shirt, the 2007 pinstripes or the more recent 2010 white sash kit?
That very well might be the case if the folks at FootyHeadlines.com are to be believed.
On Tuesday they ran a story detailing all the features of a shirt they claim to be the new USMNT away kit for 2015.
Hard to believe we're just days away from 2015 and the first soccer year in a very long time without Landon Donovan's name appearing on an MLS or national team roster.
By Twitter sniff test standards, it had the air of a legitimate, official account (albeit without the blue check mark).
The account @GeZelalem, purporting to be the "official Twitter account - Gedion Zelalem," on Tuesday posted a simple emoji. A US flag.
