Staring toward the heavens, one of the many lagunas in the Atacama Desert salt flat calmly reflects a starry night sky near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, planet Earth. [FD] [CVE-2016-6598/9]: RCE and admin cred disclosure in BMC Track-It! 11.4

Happy new year! I was doing some new year cleaning and realised I never released this advisory properly. Two vulnerabilities in BMC Track-It! 11.4 which were disclosed by SecuriTeam Secure Disclosure on July 2016. Posting here because I've seen quite a few of these still in active use, live and deployed in corporate networks. The exploit is available in my repo at [3]. It's also interesting to see how they completely ignored my advice, but I'm used to that. Here it is in full glory for your reading pleasure. This advisory and exploit can also be fetched at my github repo (http://ift.tt/2jjssMJ) and in the SSD blog at http://ift.tt/29i6veS. A big thanks to SecuriTeam for helping out as always. >> Multiple critical vulnerabilities in BMC Track-It! 11.4 >> Discovered by Pedro Ribeiro (pedrib@gmail.com), Agile Information Security ============================================================ ===================== Disclosure: 04/07/2016 / Last updated: 01/01/2017 >> Background and summary BMC Track-It! exposes several .NET remoting services on port 9010. .NET remoting is a remote method technology similar to Java RMI or CORBA which allows you to invoke methods remotely and retrieve their result. These remote methods are used when a technician uses the Track-It! client console to communicate with the central Track-It! server. A technician would invoke these methods for obtaining tickets, creating a new ticket, uploading files to tickets, etc. On October 2014, two 0 day vulnerabilities for Track-It! 11.3 were disclosed (under CVE-2014-4872, see [1]). The vulnerabilities were due to the Track-It! server accepting remote method invocations without any kind of authentication or encryption. The vulnerabilities were very severe: one allowed an attacker to execute code on the server as NETWORK SERVICE or SYSTEM, while the other would allow an attacker to obtain the domain administrator and SQL server passwords if the Track-It! server had password reset turned on. These vulnerabilities were discovered in a trivial manner - simply by turning Wireshark on and observing the packets one could see the remote method invocations and objects being passed around. Duplicate and even triplicate packets would not be rejected by the server, which would execute whatever action was requested in the packet. Disclosure was done by the US-CERT, which attempted to contact BMC but received no response after 45 days. After this period they released the vulnerability information and I released two Metasploit exploits. BMC contacted me asking for advice on how to fix the issues, to which I responded: "For #1 [file upload] and #2 [domain admin pass disclosure] the fix is to implement authentication and authorisation. There is no other way to fix it. [...] Make sure the auth is done properly. You will have to negotiate some kind of session key using the user's credential at the start and use that session key for encryption going forward. Do not use a fixed key, as this can be reverse engineered. If you don't implement such mechanism, it's just a question of time before someone else breaks your protection and finds new vulnerabilities." On December 9th 2014, BMC released Track-It! 11.4 [2], which they claimed had fixed the security vulnerabilities. At first glance, this seemed to be true. Traffic in Wireshark did seem to be encrypted. However upon further inspection, it became obvious that while the actual method invocation and its arguments were being encrypted using a DES key, there was still no authentication being done. What this means in practice is that anyone can negotiate a new encryption key with the server and use that from then on to invoke remote methods without ever authenticating to the server, even for the initial encryption key exchange. The code can be inspected by decompiling TrackIt.Utility.Common.dll. The interesting part is in: namespace TrackIt.Utility.Common.Remoting { internal enum SecureTransaction { Uninitialized, SendingPublicKey, SendingSharedKey, SendingEncryptedMessage, SendingEncryptedResult, UnknownIdentifier, UnauthenticatedClient } } This represents the state machine that the server uses to track client requests. The initial state is UnauthenticatedClient for any unknown client. A typical communication would be as follows: 1- Client generates a RSA key, which it shares with the server by sending a Modulus and an Exponent. 2- Server creates a DES key and sends that key back to the client 3- Client and server now share an encryption key; that key is used to pass back messages back and forth (states SendingEncryptedMessage and SendingEncryptedResult). As it is evident, at no point there is any authentication or credentials being passed from the client to the server. So while all traffic is encrypted, anyone can negotiate an encryption key with the server and invoke any remote method. From here on, building an exploit is trivial. All that is needed is to import the library DLL's from the Track-It! client application and invoke the methods in the code. A special thanks to SecuriTeam Secure Disclosure (SSD), which have assisted me in disclosing this vulnerability to BMC. Their advisory can be found at http://ift.tt/29i6veS. Exploit code for this vulnerability has been released, and can be found in the same github repository as this advisory [3]. >> Technical details: #1 Vulnerability: Remote code execution via file upload CVE-2016-6598 Attack Vector: Remote Constraints: None; exploitable by an unauthenticated attacker Affected versions: 11.4 (versions <= 11.3 are affected by CVE-2014-4872, which is very similar) The application exposes an unauthenticated .NET remoting file storage service (FileStorageService) on port 9010. This service contains a method that allows uploading a file to an arbitrary path on the machine that is running Track-It!. This can be used to upload a file to the web root and achieve code execution as NETWORK SERVICE or SYSTEM. #2 Vulnerability: Domain administrator and SQL server user credentials disclosure CVE-2016-6599 Attack Vector: Remote Constraints: None; exploitable by an unauthenticated attacker Affected versions: 11.4 (versions <= 11.3 are affected by CVE-2014-4872, which is very similar) The application exposes an unauthenticated .NET remoting configuration service (ConfigurationService) on port 9010. This service contains a method that can be used to retrieve a configuration file that contains the application database name, username and password as well as the domain administrator username and password. These are encrypted with a fixed key and IV ("NumaraIT") using the DES algorithm. The domain administrator username and password can only be obtained if the Self-Service component is enabled, which is the most common scenario in enterprise deployments. >> Fix: Upgrade to BMC Track-It! 11.5 or above. >> References: [1] http://ift.tt/2ngwckn advisories/bmc-track-it-11.3.txt [2] http://ift.tt/2DGMyOg blog/2014/12/09/track-it-114-is-now-available [3] http://ift.tt/2ngwmZ1 ================ Agile Information Security Limited http://ift.tt/1JewOIU >> Enabling secure digital business >>

Cartwheel of Fortune

By chance, a collision of two galaxies has created a surprisingly recognizable shape on a cosmic scale, The Cartwheel Galaxy. The Cartwheel is part of a group of galaxies about 500 million light years away in the constellation Sculptor. Two smaller galaxies in the group are visible on the right. The Cartwheel Galaxy's rim is an immense ring-like structure 150,000 light years in diameter composed of newly formed, extremely bright, massive stars. When galaxies collide they pass through each other, their individual stars rarely coming into contact. Still, the galaxies' gravitational fields are seriously distorted by the collision. In fact, the ring-like shape is the result of the gravitational disruption caused by a small intruder galaxy passing through a large one, compressing the interstellar gas and dust and causing a a star formation wave to move out from the impact point like a ripple across the surface of a pond. In this case the large galaxy may have originally been a spiral, not unlike our own Milky Way, transformed into the wheel shape by the collision. But ... what happened to the small intruder galaxy? via NASA http://ift.tt/2DB4lGF

Ribbons and Pearls of Spiral Galaxy NGC 1398

Why do some spiral galaxies have a ring around the center? Spiral galaxy NGC 1398 not only has a ring of pearly stars, gas and dust around its center, but a bar of stars and gas across its center, and spiral arms that appear like ribbons farther out. The featured image was taken with ESO's Very Large Telescope at the Paranal Observatory in Chile and resolves this grand spiral in impressive detail. NGC 1398 lies about 65 million light years distant, meaning the light we see today left this galaxy when dinosaurs were disappearing from the Earth. The photogenic galaxy is visible with a small telescope toward the constellation of the Furnace (Fornax). The ring near the center is likely an expanding density wave of star formation, caused either by a gravitational encounter with another galaxy, or by the galaxy's own gravitational asymmetries. via NASA http://ift.tt/2G3GXiy

Install dlib (the easy, complete guide)

The latest release of dlib is special.

It completely removes the boost.python dependency, making it significantly easier to install across the board on macOS, Ubuntu, and Raspbian.

Thanks to the work of Davis King (the creator and maintainer of the dlib library) and Mischan Toos-Haus (who is responsible for removing the boost.python dependency), we can now:

  • Easily leverage all Python + dlib functionality (face detection, facial landmarks, correlation tracking, etc.)…
  • …with less dependencies and an easier install process.

In today’s blog post I’ll be providing instructions to install dlib on:

  • macOS
  • Ubuntu
  • Raspbian (Raspberry Pi’s operating system)

These install instructions are complete, easy, to follow, and will get you up and running with dlib + Python bindings in a manner of minutes.

To learn how to install dlib on your system, just keep reading!

Looking for the source code to this post?
Jump right to the downloads section.

Install dlib (the easy, complete guide)

In this guide you’ll learn how to install dlib on macOS, Ubuntu, and Raspbian. Please feel free to skip to the section that corresponds to your operating system.

Once you have installed dlib on your respective operating system we’ll validate the install by using Python, dlib, and OpenCV (provided you have OpenCV installed as well), to detect facial landmarks.

From there, I have provided additional tutorials and guides to help apply dlib to computer vision and machine learning projects, including detecting and counting blinks and building a system to recognize when the driver of a vehicle is becoming drowsy/tired (and alerting them to wake up).

Installing dlib on macOS

I’ll assume you already have XCode installed on your macOS machine. If not, please take the time to open the App Store and install XCode.

From there, you’ll need to install Homebrew, a package manager for macOS, similar to Debian/Ubuntu’s

apt-get
 :
$ ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
$ brew update

Note: Make sure you use the “<>” button in the code block above to expand section — this will ensure you copy and paste the entire Homebrew install command.

Once Homebrew is installed you need to update your

PATH
  to look for Homebrew binaries, packages, and libraries. This can be accomplished by manually editing the file using an editor such as nano, vi, etc. or simply using
echo
  and redirection:
$ echo -e "\n# Homebrew" >> ~/.bash_profile
$ echo "export PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH" >> ~/.bash_profile

You then need to

source
  the
~/.bash_profile
  file to reload the changes:
$ source ~/.bash_profile

We’ll then install

cmake
  (a utility used for building, testing, and packaging software) along with Python 2.7 and Python 3:
$ brew install cmake
$ brew install python python3

You can verify that Python 2.7 and Python 3 have been successfully installed by using

which
 :
$ which python2
/usr/local/bin/python2
$ which python3
/usr/local/bin/python3

There are two key points you need to pay attention to here.

The first is that you want to ensure the root path for both Python binaries are in

/usr/local/bin
  — this is where Homebrew stores the Python binaries.

If your root path instead reads

/usr/bin
  then you are utilizing the system Python install. We want to avoid using the system Python install so if you see
/usr/bin
  instead of
/usr/local/bin
  then it’s most likely due to an error updating your
~/.bash_profile
  (make sure you go back and ensure the file has been updated properly; this could require manually opening and editing the file).

The second key point to investigate is the Python binary itself:

python2
  and
python3
 . Notice how we are not executing just
python
  — instead we are explicitly supplying the version as well.

This is due to how Homebrew now handles Python installs. In older versions of Homebrew, Homebrew would automatically alias the

python
  command to either Python 2.7 or Python 3 — this is no longer the case. Instead, we need to explicitly supply the Python version number.

The name is true for

pip
  as well: we now use
pip2
  and
pip3
 .

Next, let’s prepare our Python environment.

If you are using a Python virtual environment (if you followed any of my OpenCV install tutorials, you likely are using them), you can either create a new Python virtual environment for the dlib install:

$ mkvirtualenv dlib_test -p python3

Or access an existing one:

$ workon cv

Using a Python virtual environment is entirely optional but highly recommended as Python virtual environments are a best practice for Python development. To learn more about Python virtual environments (and how to use them) please consult my OpenCV install tutorials where they are covered extensively.

From there, we can install NumPy (dlib’s only Python dependency) followed by the dlib library itself:

$ pip install numpy
$ pip install dlib

If you are not using Python virtual environments you’ll need to update the

pip
  command to either
pip2
  or
pip3
 . If you are using Python 2.7, use
pip2
  instead of
pip
 . Similarly, if you are utilizing Python 3, replace
pip
  with
pip3
 .

From there, fire up a Python shell and validate your install of dlib:

(dlib_test) DU481:~ admin$ python
Python 3.6.4 (default, Jan  6 2018, 11:51:15)
[GCC 4.2.1 Compatible Apple LLVM 9.0.0 (clang-900.0.39.2)] on darwin
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import dlib
>>> dlib.__version__
'19.8.2'
>>>

Figure 1: Successfully installing dlib on macOS.

Installing dlib on Ubuntu

The following instructions were gathered on Ubuntu 16.04 but should work on newer versions of Ubuntu as well.

To get started, let’s install our required dependencies:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake
$ sudo apt-get install libopenblas-dev liblapack-dev
$ sudo apt-get install libx11-dev libgtk-3-dev
$ sudo apt-get install python python-dev python-pip
$ sudo apt-get install python3 python3-dev python3-pip

I have included a few notes on the dependencies that you should consider:

  1. We are installing GTK and X11 for GUI functionality inside dlib. These libraries can be skipped if you do not care about the GUI functionality, saving you 100-200MB in space.
  2. We install OpenBLAS for linear algebra optimizations which allows dlib functionality to execute faster. You can technically skip this as well but I highly recommend you install OpenBLAS as the optimizations are significant.

Next, let’s prepare our Python environment for the dlib install.

If you are using a Python virtual environment (if you followed any of my OpenCV install tutorials, you likely are using them), you can either create a new Python virtual environment for the dlib install:

$ mkvirtualenv dlib_test -p python3

Or access an existing one:

$ workon cv

Using a Python virtual environment is entirely optional but highly recommended as Python virtual environments are a best practice for Python development. To learn more about Python virtual environments (and how to use them) please consult my OpenCV install tutorials where they are covered extensively.

You can then install dlib on your Ubuntu system:

$ pip install numpy
$ pip install dlib

If you are not using a Python virtual environment make sure you add

sudo
  to the beginning of the
pip install
  commands (otherwise the
pip install
  commands will fail due permission errors). Additionally, keep in mind that
pip
  is used to install packages for Python 2.7 and
pip3
  is used for Python 3. Depending on which Python version you want to install dlib for you may need to update the
pip
  command above.

Finally, open up a Python shell and verify your dlib install on Ubuntu by importing the

dlib
  library:
(dlib_test) ubuntu@ip-172-31-12-187:~$ python
Python 3.5.2 (default, Nov 23 2017, 16:37:01)
[GCC 5.4.0 20160609] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import dlib
>>> dlib.__version__
'19.8.2'
>>>

Figure 2: Installing dlib on Ubuntu (Note: I was SSH’d into an Ubuntu machine in the Amazon EC2 cloud from my macOS machine when taking this screenshot, hence why the screenshot looks like the macOS GUI).

Installing dlib on Raspberry Pi/Raspbian

This section covers installing the dlib library on the Raspberry Pi and the Raspbian Stretch operating system. These instructions should work for newer releases of Rasbpian as well.

Our Raspbian dlib install is identical to our Ubuntu dlib install, but with a few minor adjustments:

  1. Both Python 2.7 and Python 3 are pre-installed on Raspbian so we do not need to install them ourselves.
  2. We need to install
    libatlas-base-dev

     .
  3. We can optionally optimize our dlib install on the Raspberry Pi architecture via the
    USE_NEON_INSTRUCTIONS

      switch (this will require you install dlib from source rather than
    pip

     ).

Let’s get started installing dlib on our Raspberry Pi by ensuring we have met our library/package dependencies:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake
$ sudo apt-get install libopenblas-dev liblapack-dev libatlas-base-dev
$ sudo apt-get install libx11-dev libgtk-3-dev

A few quick notes on both X11/GTK and OpenBLAS:

  1. We are installing GTK and X11 for GUI functionality inside dlib. These libraries can be skipped if you do not care about the GUI functionality, saving you 100-200MB in space. Space can be a premium on the Raspberry Pi, but again, if you need GUI functionality make sure you install them.
  2. We install OpenBLAS for linear algebra optimizations which allows dlib functionality to execute faster. You can technically skip this as well but I highly recommend you install OpenBLAS as the optimizations are significant — any optimization you can achieve on the Raspberry Pi is well worth it!

Next, let’s prepare our Python environment for the dlib install on our Raspberry Pi.

If you are using a Python virtual environment (if you followed any of my OpenCV install tutorials, you likely are using them), you can either create a new Python virtual environment for the dlib install:

$ mkvirtualenv dlib_test -p python3

Or access an existing one:

$ workon cv

Using a Python virtual environment is entirely optional but highly recommended as Python virtual environments are a best practice for Python development. To learn more about Python virtual environments (and how to use them) please consult my OpenCV install tutorials where they are covered extensively.

We can then install dlib on Raspberry Pi:

$ pip install numpy
$ pip install dlib

If you are not using a Python virtual environment make sure you add

sudo
  to the beginning of the
pip install
  commands (otherwise the
pip install
  commands will fail due permission errors). Additionally, keep in mind that
pip
  is used to install packages for Python 2.7 and
pip3
  is used for Python 3. Depending on which Python version you want to install dlib for you may need to update the
pip
  command above.

If you decide you would like to have the NEON instructions utilized to optimize the dlib install, skip installing dlib via

pip
  and instead install via source:
$ git clone https://github.com/davisking/dlib.git
$ cd dlib
$ python setup.py install --yes USE_NEON_INSTRUCTIONS

Compiling from source will take longer than installing via

pip
  so be patient.

Finally, open up a Python shell and verify your dlib install on Raspbian by importing the

dlib
  library:
(dlib_test) pi@raspberrypi:~ $ python
Python 3.5.3 (default, Jan 19 2017, 14:11:04)
[GCC 6.3.0 20170124] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import dlib
>>> dlib.__version__
'19.8.99'

Note: The dlib install version for the Raspberry Pi is different from my macOS and Ubuntu output as I installed from source to leverage the NEON optimizations rather than installing via pip.

Figure 3: Successfully installing dlib on the Raspberry Pi and Raspbian operating system.

Testing your dlib install

As a final example of using dlib on the Raspberry Pi, here is a short example I put together where we detect facial landmarks in an input image:

# import the necessary packages
from imutils import face_utils
import dlib
import cv2

# initialize dlib's face detector (HOG-based) and then create
# the facial landmark predictor
p = "shape_predictor_68_face_landmarks.dat"
detector = dlib.get_frontal_face_detector()
predictor = dlib.shape_predictor(p)

# load the input image and convert it to grayscale
image = cv2.imread("example.jpg")
gray = cv2.cvtColor(image, cv2.COLOR_BGR2GRAY)

# detect faces in the grayscale image
rects = detector(gray, 0)

# loop over the face detections
for (i, rect) in enumerate(rects):
        # determine the facial landmarks for the face region, then
        # convert the facial landmark (x, y)-coordinates to a NumPy
        # array
        shape = predictor(gray, rect)
        shape = face_utils.shape_to_np(shape)

        # loop over the (x, y)-coordinates for the facial landmarks
        # and draw them on the image
        for (x, y) in shape:
                cv2.circle(image, (x, y), 2, (0, 255, 0), -1)

# show the output image with the face detections + facial landmarks
cv2.imshow("Output", image)
cv2.waitKey(0)

Note: This example assumes you have both OpenCV and dlib installed on your system. If you do not have OpenCV installed, please refer to my OpenCV install tutorials.

For a detailed review of the code above used for facial landmark prediction, please refer to my previous tutorial on the basics of facial landmarks.

To execute the above script:

  • Make sure you have installed OpenCV, dlib, and imutils (
    pip install --upgrade imutils

     ).
  • Use the “Downloads” section below to download the source code + example image + pre-trained dlib facial landmark predictor.

From there, you can issue the following command to execute our example script:

$ python facial_landmarks.py

You should then see the following output where the facial landmarks are displayed on the image:

Figure 4: Detecting facial landmarks using the dlib library and Python.

Fun fact: The picture above is me ~8 years ago during my undergraduate college days. I actually had hair back then!

What now?

Now that you’re up and running with dlib I would recommend you:

  1. Install OpenCV on your system as well (if you haven’t already). I have a number of OpenCV install tutorials for macOS, Ubuntu, and Raspbian available here.
  2. Use your OpenCV + dlib install to build practical, real-world projects.

I would recommend starting with this tutorial where you’ll learn how to apply real-time facial landmark detection:

Figure 5: Using dlib to apply real-time facial landmark detector.

From there, you can utilize facial landmarks to build an eye blink detector:

Figure 6: Building an eye blink detector with dlib, OpenCV, and Python.

And then finally we put all the pieces together from the previous two tutorials to build a drowsiness detector:

Figure 7: Creating a drowsiness detector with dlib, OpenCV, and Python.

Be sure to take a look at the tutorials! They are fun, hands-on, and will give you a ton of experience building real-world computer vision applications with dlib and OpenCV.

Global Temperature Anomalies from 1880 to 2017

Earth's global surface temperatures in 2017 were the second warmest since modern recordkeeping began in 1880, according to an analysis by NASA. Continuing the planet's long-term warming trend, globally averaged temperatures in 2017 were 1.62 degrees Fahrenheit (0.90 degrees Celsius) warmer than the 1951 to 1980 mean, according to scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York. That is second only to global temperatures in 2016. Last year was the third consecutive year in which temperatures were more than 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius) above late nineteenth-century levels. NASA's temperature analyses incorporate surface temperature measurements from 6,300 weather stations, ship- and buoy-based observations of sea surface temperatures, and temperature measurements from Antarctic research stations. These raw measurements are analyzed using an algorithm that considers the varied spacing of temperature stations around the globe and urban heating effects that could skew the conclusions. These calculations produce the global average temperature deviations from the baseline period of 1951 to 1980. The full 2017 surface temperature data set and the complete methodology used to make the temperature calculation are available at: http://ift.tt/uAzy6c GISS is a laboratory within the Earth Sciences Division of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. The laboratory is affiliated with Columbia University's Earth Institute and School of Engineering and Applied Science in New York. NASA uses the unique vantage point of space to better understand Earth as an interconnected system. The agency also uses airborne and ground-based monitoring, and develops new ways to observe and study Earth with long-term data records and computer analysis tools to better see how our planet is changing. NASA shares this knowledge with the global community and works with institutions in the United States and around the world that contribute to understanding and protecting our home planet.

An Immersive Visualization of the Galactic Center

What if you could look out from the center of our Galaxy -- what might you see? Two scientifically-determined possibilities are shown in the featured video, an immersive 360-degree view which allows you to look around in every direction. The pictured computer simulation is based on infrared data from ESO's Very Large Telescope in Chile and X-ray data from NASA's orbiting Chandra X-ray Observatory. As the video starts, you quickly approach Sgr A*, the supermassive black hole in the Galactic center. Then looking out, this 500-year time-lapse simulation shows glowing gas and many points of light orbiting all around you. Many of these points are young Wolf-Rayet stars that have visible hot winds blowing out into surrounding nebulas. Clouds approaching close become elongated, while objects approaching too close fall in. Toward the video's end the simulation repeats, but this time with the dynamic region surrounding Sgr A* expelling hot gas that pushes back against approaching material. via NASA http://ift.tt/2BhIheh

The vulnerability typ allows remote attackers to inject own malicious script code to client-side browser to application web requests. The cross site scripting vulnerability is located in the api of the web-application. Remote attackers are able to exploit via vulnerable `api/search/Getfilters` to byoass the current xss restriction filter. Thus allows the remote attacker to inject and execute client-side cross site scripting payloads. The request method to inject is GET and the attack vector is non-persistent. The security risk of the cross site vulnerability is estimated as medium with a cvss (common vulnerability scoring system) count of 3.2. Exploitation of the client-side cross site vulnerability requires no privileged web-application user account and only low user interaction. Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in session hijacking, non-persistent phishing attacks, non-persistent external redirects to malicious sources and non-persistent manipulation of affected or connected application modules. Request Method(s): [+] GET Vulnerable Module(s): [+] /api/search/Getfilters Vulnerable Parameter(s): [+] query Affected Module(s): [+] Current XSS Filter Protection Proof of Concept (PoC): ======================= The client-side cross site vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers without privileged user account and with low user interaction. For security demonstration or to reproduce the security vulnerability follow the provided information and steps below to continue. PoC: Manual 1. Attackers can bypass the xss filter by using this payload through query api system. "%40%27%3E%3Cimg%20src=evil.source%20onerror=prompt(document.cookie)%3E%40" 2. Attackers can use the current url to execute the prompt dialog with successful response of xss payload execution PoC: Exploitation http://ift.tt/2roKq89 http://ift.tt/2G12yIg PoC: Vulnerable Source { "message": "No HTTP resource was found that matches the request URI 'http://ift.tt/2rpSi9l<<>

The Upper Michigan Blizzard of 1938

Yes, but can your blizzard do this? In Upper Michigan's Storm of the Century in 1938, some snow drifts reached the level of utility poles. Nearly a meter of new and unexpected snow fell over two days in a storm that started 80 years ago this week. As snow fell and gale-force winds piled snow to surreal heights; many roads became not only impassable but unplowable; people became stranded; cars, school buses and a train became mired; and even a dangerous fire raged. Fortunately only two people were killed, although some students were forced to spend several consecutive days at school. The featured image was taken by a local resident soon after the storm. Although all of this snow eventually melted, repeated snow storms like this help build lasting glaciers in snowy regions of our planet Earth. via NASA http://ift.tt/2rqTSYA
