An old face returned to New York on Saturday as the Red Bulls continued tweaking in preparation for 2015.
Ahead of their season opener against Sporting KC on Sunday (7 pm ET, FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes), the New York announced the signing of Jamaican midfielder Dane Richards and waived defender Armando. Richards, who played with the Red Bulls from 2007-12, signs with the team after spending the preseason as a trialist.

The reigning champions were dominant nearly from start to finish, netted two opportune goals in the second half, and coasted to a 2-0 triumph over the visiting Chicago Fire.
Despite the disappointment and manner of the 2-0 opening day defeat on the road to the LA Galaxy on Friday, the Chicago Fire drew some positives from a game in which they were outplayed by the defending champions.

The Canadians earned a 1-1 draw with Mexico to remain undefeated after three matches, following a 3-1 win over Haiti and a 3-2 victory over Costa Rica.
