Abby Wambach has won many awards in her illustrious career, including FIFA's World Player of the Year. Soon, she could add to her trophy case.
FIFA announced on Monday that Wambach is one of three nominees for FIFA Women's World Player of the Year award. The other nominees include Marta of Brazil and Germany's Nadine Kessler.
The winner will be announced Jan. 12th in Zurich, Switzerland. Wambach previously won the award in 2012 and a second trophy would match former USWNT teammate Mia Hamm's total after she won the award in 2001 and 2002.
